Statement from the ED

To our valued supporters:

First, I want to personally thank our caring and generous community for its longstanding support of the 100 Black Men Metropolitan Houston Chapter (100 BMOH). Since 1994, the 100 Black Men Metropolitan Houston  Inc. continues to strive to expand its mentoring and scholarship programs to the community. We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of our exciting mentoring sessions every second and fourth Saturday of the month and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our cause.

It is our mission to improve the quality of life in our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans. To meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those in our community each year.

Mentoring is the cornerstone of the 100 Black Men of America Houston Chapter. The social, cultural, emotional, and unique needs of youth, primarily African American males, are addressed through one-to-one and group mentoring relationships by 100 Black Men chapter members. Committed to our cause, our members serve as positive role models, advocates, and trusted advisors to children and young adults, including the Collegiate 100® and the Emerging 100®, in Houston.

The 100’s signature mentoring program is an effective, evidenced-based, and strategic intervention that helps youth reach their full potential and become contributing members of society. The miracles of mentoring impact over 125,000 lives annually and change communities. When all is said and done, we rely on our donors to help us raise the needed funds to further impact those in need in our community.

Not only did you offer financial support, but you also gave your time. From our mentoring sessions, volunteers provided over 144 hours to our mentees and parents.

On behalf of the 100 BMOH volunteers and staff, thank you. If you didn’t have a chance to get involved with 100 BMOH this past year, we invite you to join us to make a difference this year. Visit 100blackmenhou.org for more information on how you can help your community.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Tracee Seals, Executive Director 100 BMOH
